At Hy5, we have joined over 40 European organisations in calling on national governments to urgently launch a pilot eSAF tender, based on a double-sided auction mechanism. This initiative has been lead by Project SkyPower and Hydrogen Europe.
The goal is clear: to activate theeSAF market in time to meet the 2030 sub-mandate and to send a strong signal of Europe’s commitment to decarbonizing the aviation sector.
This initiative would involve the mobilization of public funds to accelerate private investment, ensuring that participating countries meet their targets. It would also reinforce Europe’s leadership in clean technologies, strengthening its role in the global energytransition.
